The success of the first Festival of Flanders-Kortrijk-new-style (2010) gives us confidence for the future. The programme of the second edition presents a fresh mix of both classical and contemporary compositions with a story, projects in which old and new spontaneously blend together and the wonderful world of sound art.
Aside from the many concerts, there is “Stadsmuziek” (City Music) a musical voyage of discovery in the Kortrijk city centre. On Sunday, May 15, one single ticket will give you access to five concerts that have as their central theme the meeting of East and West. In the exhibition “Klinkende Stad: Resonance” (Resounding City: Resonance) we present four brand new projects by sound artists and Club Classic, in which we transform a theatre into a cosy lounge where you can experience three different concerts.
